My thoughts on Fedora
I faithfully used it for years, even contributed as a packager. It became frustrating though that every time a release seemed to finally have the kinks worked out, it was EOL and you had to move to a new release with new kinks or not receive updates.

That is the reason why I left Fedora and went to CentOS on the desktop, and then eventually Ubuntu on the Desktop (I needed modern builds of things like webkit and kino).

Ubuntu releases may have the same kinks as Fedora releases, but it seems they receive support for longer, so you aren't forced to upgrade once the kinks are worked out.
