@ "Another Canadian". You indeed are quite welcome to express yourself, despite the "quality" of your English. But it helps when you express yourself a bit more clearly. For example, when you write "because my English will be more then perfect", I can only guess that you mean "because my English is less than perfect". Somewhat the contrary isn't it?As said before, I'm also "only" a little European, Belgian in fact (yes, the country still exists!), with Flemish (not even Dutch) as native language. But I will always try to express myself as precisely and correctly as possible (be it Dutch, English, French or German). In doubt I'll transfer my writings to a word processor with Spell-checker (the one in my browser is already very helpful) and, more important, grammar control. Believe me, it helps. And BTW, good luck with your Router Project.

As I don't care about games I have never tried running them on Linux or Windoze, I just couldn't care less about them. But there are some really good media options for Linux. Freevo is in my point of view much better than windoze media-center. It is fast, allows you to watch TV, it lists the channels and the program-guide, schedules recordings etc. It supports even less common TV cards with any remote control you could come up with, and the PC doesn't need to be state of the art for all this to work reasonably. With Windoze 7 media center you need a good GPU, plenty of RAM, and a newer TV card to even consider to try it out. If the Video card doesn't support aero, forget it. With freevo I'm happy using a P-III 1GHz with an old Matrox G450 Card, a cheap PCI Hauppauge TV-Card about 15 years old, and 512 MB RAM. The OS on which this is running is Linux Mint.

http://www.techrepublic.com/forum/discussions/102-334179-3341114

I think it was more the simplification though not over simplification to the point of harming the game. I can agree with reducing the running around though; that sucked rocks in the first Knights of the Old Republic. Run here and fetch this thingy.. now go clear across the level map for the other thingy.. now go almost all the way back for the third thingy. With NWN2, the 30 level limitation was a real turnoff for me. At 40 levels, one can max out two classes or do max one class and two subclasses or juggle around a bit. The simply reduction of those 10 available levels crippled. It always seamed to cut off your character development prematurely. I'd actually been fearing I'd hit the level limit in Dragon Age so I'm happy to hear that it's not crippled in the same way. They could really add a lot more content into DA1 though. I hope the rush for DA2 isn't just a way to push another profit spike with "new and shiny" instead of additions that truly add to the game. Maybe the game engine does justify a new version release, I've not read enough to know yet.

Yes, that's why I never bought it. Too many online requirements to play the game. If they want to be that anal, use steam or something. I personally never though ME2 to over simplified. I appreciated the removal of the inventory, The whole game was more focused on the combat instead. The first had way to much running around the citadel. Like, did the consort quests really have any purpose? The unlimited ammo in ME1 was nice, but ME2 has frequent enough drops to make it good. Weapons are varied enough as well, though as before, shotguns are kind of useless unless you want to stand face to face with a heavy mech and keep blasting him.I think Dragon Age 2 should be put off, just keep making nice expansions to the first one, the ability to keep developing your character is nice, and the engine, graphics and general play style is very nice.I'm really excited for ME3. Hopefully they don't change to many game mechanics from ME2, I thought they had the mechanics almost perfect.
