Everyone keeps saying that they prefer a RSS client even if it syncs with GReader. But why? Frankly, I've yet to see a client that competes with Google's GUI. I expecially appreciate it's "sort by magic" feature that brings things that are similar to my most viewed and starred articles to the top.So why do people like standalone clients?

If you liked NetNewsWire for Mac, it's still available... and it syncs with Google Reader.Ditto for NNW for iPhone. If you're using PC, I recommend FeedDemon. It's made by the same people as the other two.Or you could just keep using the web version. Myself, I prefer a dedicated program for RSS aggregation.
