I always wondered why the LDOS developers didn't port their OS to the PC. It was superior to MS-DOS in almost every way with multilevel passwords, etc. Radio Shack finally adopted it on the final versions of the TRS-80. I just never understood why someone couldn't port it over from the 8080 CPU to the 8086 family. I wonder how different things would be now? Even as just an alternative to MS/IBM DOS it would have been great. It was already supporting hard disks in the 8080/Z80 world.
