Flexi-time
Most UK public sector workers get flexi-time to differing levels. It doesn't cost much and makes it easier for people to get work life balance. We are contracted for 37 hours per week, can carry over a maximum of 17 hours and take up to 2 flexidays every four weeks. As long as we ensure business needs are met (i.e. adequate cover, attending meetings), people start between 7am and 11am and leave between 3pm and 7pm, with a lunch between 11am and 3pm of at least 30 minutes.
