"Medical investigation" (another religon IMHO)
With all due respect, religions are faith-based worldviews, whereas the whole purpose of medical investigation is to experimentally test hypotheses. Peer review and scientific rigour are used to control the quality of the tests and the results are as good as can be expected from necessarily finite data sets.

I hardly think the two can be confused; they are diametrically opposite.
