Kapersky, Bit Defender and Panda Live cd's have been essential in my business.
Bit defender has been the best for me, but I deal solely in small businesses and home users; therefore, I am not facing any 'attacks'
Also the Bit defender online quick scan is very effective to give you a quick diagnosis if the computer is infected. That is- if you can get an Internet browser open.
