Freelance Project Management?
I've been in PM for 10 years and IT for 15.

Between contracts in 2007 I formed an LLC to do independent consulting (PM, Support, WebDev) hoping to bring in some cash and become self employed.

Its panned out like this:

Project Management: The SMB market (my target) doesn't see the value, or simply can't afford, a PM.

Systems Support: Eliminated. Not enough profit to make it worthwhile.

Web Development: I can do it, but it?s not my best skill and I'm slow to produce. Time = Money = its not working for me.

I realize that my value add comes from sales, managing work and customer relationships.

The problem is, the gigs I'm finding are so small that I can't afford to outsource.

That leads me to the idea of becoming a Freelance PM, which seems impossible to sell in the SMB market.

Any thoughts?
