I can never understand why anyone would like to run bleeding edge techology which in most cases is untried and untested technologies in a production environment.

To do so would be inviting disgruntled users. I too would normally wait until at least service pack 1 (windows) is released prior to introducing it on a production environment.

Eg.. We are still running win xp sp 3, we will not be switching to Vista but moving straight into win 7 on hardwares that has the capacity to run win 7 because other people have done the test for us free-of-charge when they run bleeding edge technology on their production environments.

We tend to test our software via virtual prior to rolling them in production environ.
