Interpersonal skills, the most important in life yet the most neglected. It may sound something very big and complex, but it isn?t. It is just a person?s natural skill or ability to operate within a business organization or in personal life. You can also consider it as a combination of communication and interaction skills.

You ? I - We ? Almost all of us are busy in developing our technical skills. Have YOU ever made an attempt to develop or improve your interpersonal skills? If no, then it?s a high time to give it a thought. Today?s competitive world and changing management policies are expecting much more from an employee other the technical efficiency.

Have you watched the famous movie, Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark?

Today we will find the lost ARK?S MAP ? the map for a person?s interpersonal skill.

A- Appreciation M- Manner/Motivation
R- Respect A- Attitude
K- Kippage (displeasure, anger) P- Politeness/Punctuality
S- Smile

So, finding the ARK?S MAP for one?s self improvement is easy, isn?t it. These attributes of the ARK?S MAP are present in all, but we need to sharpen it. These attributes form the key component of interpersonal skills. Developing all these attributes and reducing kippage leads to development and improvement of interpersonal skills. For instance, appreciation of juniors in the professional environment leads to boosting of performance.

Have you got the gist of interpersonal skills? It?s just that?. Might be a very simple term but can bring in tremendous changes within a person?s personal and professional life.

People!!! We have heard many seminars on these topics but very few times have realized and corrected ourselves on the communication parts.

Can we share such experiences; it could be a learning platform for others too!!!

If you are bored and want to explore ARK? watch the movie and enjoy!!!

Regards,
Tom

Find article from three years ago.
Chuck in a post to it with nothing useful on it.
Add a link to some s(h)ite I'm too technically astute to even click on.

You however need to watch your film a bit more, or maybe less....
