Would suggest trends might need not only industry but geographic location. In other educational entities in Texas, many are moving towards a mix with 'other' (ie, Macs and iPads or Ubuntu with Androids!).

IMHO, many ISD's are finally addressing a TEKS (Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills) in technology they've never explored ... that of allowing students experience at technology consumerism.
