I remember the GUI used to tell you where you were missing
It may have even given you download links, I am not certain, but it never told you how to install them.

Most of the time I just ended up dropping everything in the bin folder to make it work.

Basically, unless the program was already installed from the LiveCD, These rpm distros were worthless to new users.
