I will be conservative here and say I feel no need to activate the administrator account where one can as well create another account with administrative properties to run elevated tasks. One place where I find this being useful is where user login service decides to fly off the window during boot (happened to me a number of times ) A ready admin account would easily resolve the problem though there is at least one other workaround (allbeit more complicated).
