Ok.... not sure what killing with my bare hands has to do with this, but I think I do pretty well with sarcastic witticisms already. Far more deadly than shedding blood.
I'm not in a place where I need revenge at the moment, but thank you.
I'd just like to know how to tell. Since I've read the initial blog post, I've been running all over the web, and have found plenty.
Some of it does indeed strike me as clear bullying, and other parts is my own issues.
This whole platinum rule thing is used as a two-edged sword by my supervisor. He makes the defense that it's important to treat others as they want to be treated, but treats others with far greater deference, and me with disdain.
I'm often told that "others will not work with me" but when I ask who those "others" are, it suddenly becomes a single person who continues to remain unnamed.
In my attempts to socialize, I've become ostracized, and no matter how nice I am, all I generally get are cold, vague, an ambiguous responses.
Thankfully, I do have two colleagues which I can interact with, and keep those balanced.
I often come home from work exhausted, and even if I get a good night's sleep, I can take a nap w/o a struggle. It's definitely affected my family life as well.
