A great solution
I have had a lot of people ask me to fix their personal computers and I tell them flat out that it's $50.00 an hour.
The accountant that asks you to fix their computer for free wouldn't do your taxes for free.
The marketing person would create a marketing campaign for you for free.
Charge them a reasonable rate and they will either pay or take it to Staples or something before the ask you to really fix it.
It???s fun, after their Staples (or other large retailer) trip and after paying you to fix it right, they will never ask for free work again. You always have to be absolutely up front with them; don???t give them an opportunity to assume anything.
