I have found some groups have great conversations and others are drivel. To some extent it depends on who is managing it and how active they are in posting engaging topics for discussion. Some groups that have gone "open" just get people spamming to promote themselves all day long, but others, like Next Generation Market Research, have good, thought provoking - or at least entertaining - conversations
