I installed SBS 2011 in a lab this weekend and the install is very similar to the last two flavors of SBS. I am looking forward to testing a migration over the next couple of weekends to test a migration with some sample data. The new version of SBS Essentials looks like it will be nice and very integrated with cloud services from Microsoft should be a nice solution for small offices but I will be sticking with the standard edition for my installs.
I really don't think you need a slide show to install SBS. I think 95% of the people out there could do it quite easily - even novices. The trick would be the post-installation. There is nothing in this article regarding configuration other than basic stuff.
Fair comment, Gis. But, I've never been through it. So, it's nice to have someone else do it on their lab.
I installed SBS 2011 this weekend on a Lenovo ThinkServer, but they didn't have updated drivers for the raid so I now have a new system with 15 workstations without raid but I do have my network up and running. Wonder if I should configure the raid in June when the new drivers are released, it means a new install doesn't it?
I have installed sbs2011 on machine.
but after installation i cant find exchange and sharepoint there.!
I am thinking it should be there inbuilt...but they aren't !
So do i need to install them manually?
