Gnome 3 and Unity might be the "next big thing", but frankly, interfaces optimized for a touchscreen only really work for *touchscreens*. I'm sorry, I want a functional desktop environment for my desktop pc. If I'd wanted a bloody Ipad, I'd have bought one.
