It is slightly different depending on the browser, but in Firefox for example - open the full image using the link on this page, and then right-click the ensuing image. In the menu will be an item that says "Set as desktop background" In Windows properties you can specify how the image should fill the screen.

I have experimented with these images and found that there is a huge difference between using the normal and the enhanced version. The latter profits from a better resolution on a standard monitor

I love the subject and the images.... only I won't be using them as desktop wallpapers any time soon.

Their resolution is just too low to consider it, it would not do the pictures any justice.
That will give you the highest resolution - so are very big.
Go to your Pictures (or wherever you stored them in)
  1. All we need is just 2 or 3 images from several folders if you have multiple folders just to get started

    -------------

    Go to AppData
  2. Click on Local
  3. Click on Microsoft
  4. Click on Windows
  5. Click on Themes - note if there are no folder there, right click and create a folder and name it exactly like this: Themes
  6. Click on image of picture from your file folder in Pictures and COPY and paste into THEMES (just 2 or 3)

  7. Now close your Pictures and AppData - and right click mouse to click on PERSONALIZE; from there you will now see your images in the upper top - cool huh? happy

At this point, you can now click on that image, then on the bottom, click on the link, which will open into anoher page in turn which will open into your photo folder. You can also now open other Albums by clicking on Browse. Having the options to select one, shuffle, rotate, including transparency and so much more in the advanced settings!

    Have fun!

    :-D
