For the most part, the only reason not to install using Windows Update is if you're installing the software on several machines, in which case it could be faster to do the full download, even though the download itself is considerably larger, because you'll only have to download it once. For installing the full download, 75 minutes is not unreasonable. The 30 minute estimate is for installing via Windows Update.
