A deli worker might not go to court over a document. Or he might. If the deli serves alcohol there a lots of ways to go to jail. The assault part is real too. All for low wages.

I don't know personally about delis. My experience was graveyard in a convenience store in a bad place. But I've seen people get really torqued in fast food too.
