Many, many other people have discovered just how productive a tablet can be. Yes, it is a toy for many, but even a toy can have real use in the right hands. After all, Mattel assembled the M-16, even if it was designed by Colt. Is the M-16 a toy, or a tool? If you ask me it's a toy--flimsy and buggy compared to the much older M-14. Significantly lighter, but I prefer the heft of a solid weapon over the plastic feel of today's military arms.

A tablet can be as much of not a better tool for mobile use than any laptop--when used within its limits. Quite honestly, the iPad has proven that the limits are created in the minds of the user. It may not use the exact same software as a desktop, but it certainly serves its purposes well.
