I've seen articles that seem to fit the bill you describe, but I don't see this as one of them. Microsoft is working hard on some new OS, I have to imagine it is all about mobile, and may be nothing more than a SP for the desktop environment.

But who knows? They may surprise us with the most compelling desktop OS ever. That would be cool.

Point being I am thinking about this, I assume others are and this article gave us an opportunity to think about it, speculate and compare notes.

At least it's not a vacuous flame-bait rant like the recent "consultants are superior" thread...
