Several of us have mentioned thet we do not like this "slide show" format. It takes to long to go through all 20 items this way. As an IT my time is limited. It is preferable to scan this info quickly. Requesting the document is also time consuming. It would be better to have brief bullets with links for further info. Thanks for your consideration.
I agree with TammieV. I seem to recall one of about 40 "frames". After sending about 5 minutes just to see three or four of the frames, I said "to heck with it, too time consuming to see all the frames". At least with a PDF or a regular text file (with embedded pictures), would make it easier to quickly check those of higher interest.
Geez - you guys are tech republic - you'd think you can offer a better format!
I couldn't agree more - the site is becoming almost unusable, by the time I've actually found any useful information (of which there is still much) I've more or less lost interest!
The only place for "slide shows", if at all, is in the "desktop wallpapers" blogs. Everywhere else it is used it sucks,.The original format, where several items were listed on a page and a link was provided to a pdf document was much more useful. What's the point of an impossible to see detail on thumbnail of a program's window anyway? Oh, I know, you're showing us how NOT to design a web site. Very cagey...
Agreed, I dont have time to review each slideshow. Plse go back to regular format. Thank you for the information and role that you play in informing the Technology industry. I do appreciate your content, materials and efforts which are made to provide us with real-time market information.
I agree with the majority of comments here that this format is not appropriate for the majority of busy IT or, business folks. I rarely read or, view them when I see a slide show I click close and done. So, as this has become more common I and my colleagues are seeing much less of your content.
Maybe it is time for a change for the better?
