I don't see what your argument has to do with the discussion at hand, even IF your figures were even remotely accurate. This isn't a Linux vs. Windows discussion. This is a discussion about a specific Linux distro for those already using or planning to use Linux.
But let's pretend for a moment that your rant was in some way relevant to this discussion. I think you'd be quite surprised what can actually be made to run on Linux. For example, I have MS Office 2007 installed, and it works perfectly for my needs. I also have various other Windows-only apps installed and running just fine. Wine has really come a long way toward providing access to Windows applications for Linux users.
But when push comes to shove, I use Ubuntu for most of my day-to-day activities. When I want to really unwind and play a game that won't install properly on Linux, then I just simply reboot into Windows and go about my business. This allows me to configure Ubuntu as my production environment, and to configure Windows with minimal overhead, perfectly suited for games. Sounds like a win-win to me!
