... was the WC soccer in South Africa last year. The 3D transmission was actually very nice. It was real 3D and the slower more static shots that it required, was actually good for the game on TV. No frenetic and silly shots up nostrils and on idiots in the stands. Just good, wideish shots of the action and a zoom slowly panning out at times. It was good TV (made necessary by the requirements of 3D shooting - a 3D focus field of about 3 meters) and it looked very good in 3D. I will buy a 3D TV for sport, after I saw that.
