Love the tadpole viewer idea. Gonna try that this weekend with my two boys at the local duck pond.

tadpole viewer, wow

What a great idea. Unfortunately my boys are grown and gone, our tadpole viewing days long behind us.

I am going to try the meteorite iron experiment, though. I know there's many tons of matter falling into our gravity well every day. It never dawned on me we could actually determine which of the dust has recently been in outer space. Iron. Simple genius.

Is this what it's come to? Now we need to have a book to teach our kids how to play? Sheesh! As a child growing up in suburbia USA, we did these things regularly! What's next? How to use an old mayonnaise jar to catch lightning bugs? Or perhaps how to use double-sided tape to collect pretty colored rocks on a piece of cardboard!
