There are many reasons why a tablet is much more useful in the enterprise than even paper and pen, not least of which is that it can flat replace the laptop for mobility in the majority of tasks, relegating the laptop itself to be nothing more than a portable desktop. The simple fact that you don't have to set a tablet down to use it makes it far more accessible for nearly every previous mobile use where a clipboard, paper and pen still holds sway.
