I recommend keeping an electronic document on your desktop where you can cut and paste emailed positive comments. This is a convenient way to accumulate kudos for team members and include yourself too (for those tougher days). You can share this with the team and management whenever an opportunity presents itself and during your annual performance reviews. Whenever you announce a milestone achievement, you can include the comments related to that achievement and recognize the contributors. This helps everyone see that others value the work. You can also post it on your office wall or project repository or wherever makes the most sense. This costs very little time on the part of the supervisor or project manager and provides tremendous impact on team morale and motivation. Please give it a try and see what you think.
