That's an understatement
They need two brain cells to rub together first. (If they replaced guaranteed bug-free mechanical control systems for Windows).

I guess you've heard of OpenBSD which has been striving to similar goals for over 15 years on multiple architectures ranging from embedded to full fledged x86. Still has bugs but not a single remote exploit in years.
