And, people here in the USA complain about organizing labor...yet, that's who would ensure you get that kind of reciprocal professional courtesy.
Abuses like that by employers are glad why I'm in a unionized job now. Less to worry about and more time to focus on your job...rather than if you're gonna be in the next round of "workplace reduction".
