Apple or Google Cloud? How about neither?
I've had my experience with iTunes and the destruction of my carefully crafted file system (do you want to allow iTunes to restructure your file system? NO. OK, here goes...). Now they want access to duplicate data across all my devices and destroy ALL of them with one erroneous synch operation. Not on your life. I'm keenly aware of the perception that Apple stuff just works....and that has not been my experience. Nor will I risk my ability to operate on Google, betting on geography with shaky bandwidth or non-existent network coverage. Sometimes it is good to be stodgy and old-fashioned and keep firm, exclusive control of your own data. This is one of those times.

It seems to me the Cloud is like the casino - risk only what you are willing to lose.
