Google...
Firstly... Those of you that like the functionality of Google but prefer Apples approach... expect a raft of new offline functionality to all of its services after the launch of Chrome OS!
Lets face it, at the end of the day Apple wants to sell you lifestyle and Microsoft wants to sell more of Office and Windows. Their cloud operations are tertiary to the goal of selling you "things" or in Apple's case "pretty things".
Google is selling a service and a damn good one, off the back of an already very efficient and proven cloud based system.
Granted Google doesn't do everything that its competitors do (yet) but what it does deliver is untouchable.
