As someone who needs his phone, I have not, and will not, jailbreak my iPhone. My phone is up 99.9% of the time (0.1% AT&T dropped calls) and I cannot sacrifice reliability for cute icon twirling or whatever. Several iPhone users at my work jailbreak (mostly IT types) and despite what they say, many will not admit to the problems one can have with a jail-broken phone. Just sayin'...
I jailbreak for apps & functionality not available otherwise. There are VERY good commercial apps which req JB; biteSMS, FolderEnhancer, My3G, IntelliDial, RemoveBG, and SBSettings come immediately to mind, but there are many more. I dont skin, theme or any of that frill, but my iphone is faster, more stable and more useable than your Apple locked device.
So, you have no knowledge of any Jailbreaking woes, you have no firsthand experience. Someone recently estimated that at least a million iPhones had been broken just so the users could switch to T-Mobile. So, just because you've manufactured a risk completely unsubstantiated by reason or evidence, you've judged jailbreakers as frivolous risk takers.... Just sayin'...
