But life without challenges can be boring. Too many mental challenges too fast and the mind is stressed. Too few and the brain loses its acuity. There is a happy medium there somewhere.

Thanks Derek. It's good to read that you have found a "good place" in IT. Your enjoyment of writing is a big plus. Most IT people I have met in my career don't share your interest in writing.
