Microsoft still maintains their evil empire. So far Google doesn't do the same thing that Microsoft does & whilst I'm sure they will become the same they aren't there yet. Microsoft, Apple & Oracle are the software companies that you really speak of & they attempt to stop users moving by lock-in. Google at this point does sway towards that but allows discarding their system easily. Big difference...
