These are all traits exhibited by people in the last place I worked. All you need is sneaky and backstabber and you've got the full set of 7.
How about incompetent, and lazy for a teammate who would rather play games, skype and use me to do the work for him. I may sometimes come off as arrogant myself. But I'm rowing and trying to keep the boat afloat myself. He says he went to school, has transcript of top student in class for web design, but when he asks me how to link to a pdf or facebook page???!!! And I never went to school, self taught. I tried to "rock the boat" but only thing happend was pull me in for a meeting for the no I in team speech while giving them all the excuses in the world. So whenever he decides to get lazy, I somehow end up doing his job too.
Would you let me do your dental work? no you want qualifications. or how about this... lets say you know nothing about cars. You would take it to a mechanic or another person with a background in automotives rightt? well you'd expect them to at least know how to check the oil or change a tire right? basics. Been dealing with this 3 yrs now, and no openings for another job in similar field so at the moment i'm stuck.

I have to ask myself what is missing here? I think you need to do the same.
My last job interview was 4 years ago. One of the interviewers asked, "How do you feel about overtime?" Big red flag for me, but I was really eager to jump from my current job. Fortunately, it worked out for me because she's been the best boss that I've ever had!

I would If I could. Unfortunately, our new supervisor is quick to hand off the job to me after an email whining he was already busy. Worse yet, it was a job that took no more than 5 minutes. Something he could have done while waiting for his other stuff to come in. Also, the new stupavisor is a micro manager. When we were moved into her department during one on one meetings, verbatim "you're my go to guy" and "I think he's doing rather well considering what he's got to deal with at home" hmmm ok how exactly does that pertain to work?
I try to move slower, but since they know I can work efficiently the expectation is already higher.

Anyways, I've pretty much gotten fed up with holding his hand in everything. When asking me a question nearly everyday interrupting my own workload I now tell him "I don't know" or try googleling it" lol I once gave him a link to "let me google that for you" site using the search querry, "how to use google"
I did an interview a couple of years ago with a company I really wanted to work for. My dream job was being offered, and I was going all out to get it.
Five minutes into the panel interview the Sr. Manager flipped out. Guess she didn???t like my laptop plugged into the power outlet so I could do the presentation that they asked me to prepare for the interview with less than 24 hours notice.
The "oh we forget to tell you about the presentation for the interview" didn't bug me, but the flip-out showed a huge lack of professionalism, maturity and respect.
That was only 1 red flag, poor posture, flitting eye contact and sneering ??? well it didn???t leave me with the warm fuzzies. Not sure why this behavior was exhibited ??? or if it was a test - but since taking the job would facilitate a huge move for my family, sadly I decided to walk away. No matter how much I wanted this dream job, I decided that it was bound to become a nightmare!
Every time I prepare and interview potential candidates. I always think of my ???bad??? experience and remember that I???m interviewing them as much as they are interviewing me. With that in mind, I look for that "interested" feeling. I think that it is a strong indicator of a mature and professional candidate.

green house before they start chucking bricks at ours.
Technical vetting for instance. How do you that when the candidate's skills surpass yours?
How do you do it if yours are weak, that just opens the door for blaggers.
Calling the shots is an interesting one.
What's the difference between a hire who knows that are always right, and a hirer?
You are calling the shots at the moment?
Someone so arrogant they believe they could do it better than you, could be a problem, they might be right.....
There's one warning sign that hiring is liklely to go wrong. Operating on the assumption that a particular candidate needs to be hired by you, more than you need to hire someone.
I've turned down way more opportunities, than I've been turned down myself...
