Still think hirers should reglaze their own
green house before they start chucking bricks at ours.

Technical vetting for instance. How do you that when the candidate's skills surpass yours?
How do you do it if yours are weak, that just opens the door for blaggers.


Calling the shots is an interesting one.
What's the difference between a hire who knows that are always right, and a hirer?
You are calling the shots at the moment?

Someone so arrogant they believe they could do it better than you, could be a problem, they might be right.....

There's one warning sign that hiring is liklely to go wrong. Operating on the assumption that a particular candidate needs to be hired by you, more than you need to hire someone.

I've turned down way more opportunities, than I've been turned down myself...
