I have purchased and installed the new operating system. I do not believe it could be any easier, within about 50 minutes it had downloaded and installed with no problems at all.

If only all upgrades where this easy

I paid $32.67 for a XBOX 360 and my mom got a 17 inch Toshiba laptop for $94.83 being delivered to our house tomorrow by FedEX. I will never again pay expensive retail prices at stores. I even sold a 46 inch HDTV to my boss for $650 and it only cost me $52.78 to get. Here is the website we using to get all this stuff, BidsNew.com

Your bidsnew is bad news... very poorly rated site my dear Rodney. We remember the saying: If it sounds too good to be true, than it probably is!!! Funny the security people TechRepublic didn't catch on to your thread.

Very smooth experience. From go to whoa in about 45 min's including download time.

After a day I can say of the migration "it just worked".

Haven't tested all my apps yet but main ones work fine. 2008/9ish Macbook Pro - my second machine because I was wary.

There was already a blogger who said his install took around TWELVE hours! [and some Mac users laugh at some Windows upgrades]
Already reports of issues with various CS5 [and CS4?] apps from Adobe, and a few others. Great testing...
I use Adobe CS5 (mostly Photoshop and its related components) and didn't experience any trouble.

I was asked to download and install a new Java runtime element, but the process took about 30 seconds and everything works.
Judging by the silly Simpsons type pic(or whatever other cartoon) you don't have a clue!

Fact remains that Lion will take on both linux and Windows and rip them apart!

Be careful what you say here. Do you not know your history between Unix and Apple?
Unix being the base of any operating system including Windows and also Linux.
Apple's operating system was/is also part of Unix.
