As a musician and a tech leader, I get it. If you had tied in a musical piece that involved accoustic guitars... I'd follow you forever.
I've used Erik Mongrain as an example of innovation in my blog. Eric's style of playing guitars is non traditional, but phenomenal.

leadership is one of those things that crops up in all different forms of music, even to where you might not recognize it. quite a lot of punk rock, hardcore punk and hip hop have leadership motifs in the content. being independent and thinking for yourself, loyalty to friends and family, originality, willingness to try new ideas, honesty, and most importantly, confidence are some of the major themes in these genres. you just can't give up on these genres when the first thing you find is g.g. allen or 2livecrew.
however, if we want to be specific about collaboration, the best collaboration i've found is one where the collaborators had no idea they were involved:

the link is safe for work, unless you work somewhere that you can't listen to music on headphones. if you can use headphones, then the Jack Sparrow song is also safe for work. the quick frames of tough-to-make-out renaissance art in the background shouldn't get you fired -- if it does, it did you a favor anyway.
