Years ago I had a short term System Admin working for me that, let's just say was a little out of touch with the outside world. We were having a nice meal celebrating a newly signed contract. My customer was an large defense contractor located out of Farnbough England and they had sent over 5 top execs for the final negotiation and agreement signing. It happened to be the weekend of the 4th of July. In a moment of profound ignorance my Sys Admin asked my customers if they would be staying for the 4th of July celebrations taking place on Saturday. When the speaker for the group finally realized it was not meant as a joke, he politely replied, "no, sorry we have a flight to catch on Thursday night". My Admin promptly replied with "oh too bad, I guess you guys will just have to celebrate Independence Day when you get back home".
