When working for our county's National telelcomms company, the Network management station would report the Internet gateway MUX: multiplexer to be down.

This seemed to happen every time the cleaning lady was arround.

She would ask for the key from the control room , so that she could vaccum clean in the MUX equipment room.

She would pull out the main power cable to the MUX cabinet .

It took a coupke of incidents to realize this ,
