...is their lack of longevity. 5 years and the tool you spent so much time setting up right is dead. (Owned a dozen so far.) I'd prefer a tool that stays around as long as I do, never mind trendliness (or the lack of it).
So will tablets which, for one, lack HDs (the most vulnerable part of a computer) survive better? Maybe yes, maybe not. I wish there were tests that can accurately simulate accelerated tablet aging.
