I prefer changing this in old fashioned way that is go Fonts > change to your font and use default button at the bottom.

Sometimes newer isn't better. I'm with you hulyalkar. Thanks for your comment and the reminder.

I tried this several times and Word still reverted to Calibri 11 as the default font.

However if in Step 6 you select the "New documents based on this template" it works!
