Mail Labs?
Mark W. Kaelin 22nd Aug 2011
Have you tried some of the applications in Mail Labs? Do you have a favorite that you depend on regularly?

I have found out to my cost that when clear all your drafts in gmail canned responses are deleted as well, as a labs feature it is not 100% reliable
I just tried deleting my drafts and emptying my trash to see if this affected my canned response. I still had my canned responses available to me after I did this.
In the regular gmail interface canned responses dont appear as dafts however if you use an android device they will appear as a daft in the gmail app, if you delete drafts from here you will lose your canned responses.

If you open gmail in basic html the canned responses will appear as dafts as well and again if you delete the drafts from this screen you will lose your canned responses as well.

"Gmail" Labs
Jim Mcnelis 22nd Aug 2011
Hi Susan, I don't think "Mail Labs" is the right term for Gmail Labs. It confused me when I read the article.

I believe that the post author Mark Kaelin intended to write "Gmail Labs".

When I look at it on my official CBS Interactive version of Google Apps (Google Enterprise) they call it Mail Labs. It may be a peculiar naming by the IT staff here.
I'll change it to Gmail Labs.

Hi Mark,

The reason you see that is because Google appends the company name before the term "Mail labs" for Google Apps customers. The accepted term is Gmail Labs though: https://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=29418. You won't find reference to Mail Labs in Google's help center, for example. Hope this helps!
