The field of "government security clearance processing" sounds very specific to me. If you publicise yourself as an expert in this field and you get a related question then yeah - they'd reasonably expect you to know the answer. If, however, they asked you why their PC crashes every time it comes out of hibernation then it'd be completely understandable for you not to know.
