I was looking for the "D" answers! Thriving on the challenges, splitting time between selling, doing, aftercare, managing, documents and of course being a great juggler with a dozen plus projects always in some stage of crisis. Unpacking my suitcase into the washer, packing it from the dryer and away I go. Disaster = opportunity. I should send all the semi-skilled wanna-bees who create the messes I fix thank you cards, they are my very best sales force. It takes a certain skill-set to do this and if you have it, really have it, this is a great gig. If you just want the adventure you may need to think it over.
Almost any consulting work = unstable work schedule, expect unexpected, vacation cut short well of course. Consulting is a self employment, you get paid based on your effort, abilities and so forth. Aren't those things expected while considering consulting! I have done consulting work in the past my self and I'll tell ya, you have to be flexible...
