That first wiki link states that more than %70 of web servers run on Linux or UNIX. Did you misread it?

I know what the W3C is, I use their unicorn to check the validity of my code. My point was that features from Mozilla would find their way in to the W3C standard and not the other way around. Now Google has done the same thing with a few commands. New browser specific codes that are not yet in the standard start with -moz or -webkit. Look it up.
