How important is the ability to get to Google Apps when you are offline? Has this limitation been a deal breaker for you when it comes to Gmail?

Offline access hasn't been an issue for me for Gmail or Calendar, but not having it is a big drawback for Docs. If wifi isn't available, I can use my phone for mail and calendar (I don't think I go anyplace I can't get a cell signal). But I can't really do much with docs on my phone, and being cut off from my documents if I don't have access to the Internet is a deal breaker.

offline, local access of my email & other important documents. No matter how reliable a service providers service is, There???s always a chance a service provider can temporally or even permanently, be out of service.

I had my first need to use offline gmail the other day when my office internet connection was down and it worked well, I do prefer the old offline system though where the interface was the same and I had control over how much data was sync'd. What was really odd was in message replies there is no "forward" button/option - what's up with that?!
