Speed up your PC myths
I use a software to defrag that places all the files that I use regularly (based on last access) close to the outer edge of the platter/HD. Not being a techie I am accepting the advice from the defrag program itself (makes sense to me as well) that this is the fastest way since the head travels the least to read write data. The innermost section of the HD is where archived files and least used files are kept. Reading above where mention is made of using the inner section for best performance has got me concerned. I am referring to point 9 above in this instance. Can someone set me straight on this please.
